Check Warranty? Some parts of the refrigerator may have extended warranty.

Likely one of two problems. Either the defrost cycle is not working or the cooling is not working. Look for ice build up inside around the back of the unit. If ice has built up on the back wall it is a sure tell that the defrost cycle is not working and the air flow is restricted by the ice built up around the cooling coils resulting in not cooling.

First try would be to empty the unit and allow with the doors open 24 hours with heat to melt the ice. Afterwards start normally and hope that the problem doesn't return.

There is a tube that needs to thaw from the bottom of the coils that is known to freeze preventing a satisfactory defrost. This tube takes time to defrost if frozen closed. If problem returns in a day or two then more troubleshooting is required. The heater, defrost sensor and depending on the model, timer may need to be replaced.

This is far less expense then replacing the unit and I would be inclined to repair the unit. No ice built up on back wall of unit does not mean that the defrost cycle is working so check for air flow coming out of the vents. Remoteexec Rapidshare Library. If the air flow appears to be restricted it still could be frozen cooling coils and requires defrost.(see above) If defrost is not the culprit than reread the warranty.

It is likely the unit has a leak and the Freon is low or the compressor is failing. Check the fan located at the bottom from the rear or check for airflow from the front grill. Remove grill and check for massive lint and dust build up restricting the airflow before deciding to replace. The cost of leak repair or compressor replacement can exceed the present value of the unit and could be better applied against the cost of unit replacement.

Hope this helps? Apr 11, 2016 . Check the air filter and if it is dirty, replace.

For 36 years, ever since 1976, EuroCave Vieillitheque Wine Cabinet have set the worldwide standard. Now in stock at Wine Cellar Depot in Vancouver Canada.Missing.

Turn equipment off and let the ice melt. After ice melts, place a/c in cooling mode and set the thermostat to 3 degrees below room temp display.

The indoor unit fan should start blowing cold air immediately and then turn off once the room temp drops one degree below the cooling temp setting. If the indoor unit does cycle off, check the outdoor unit and make sure it turns off at the same time.

If the outdoor unit continues to run and the indoor fan is not running, the indoor unit will ice up. A defective compressor relay that is stuck in a closed position will cause icing of the indoor unit because it keeps the compressor running when it should turn off with the indoor fan. Do you have an error code being displayed on the controller?

Is there an led light that is flashing on the indoor unit? Another possibility causing the indoor unit to ice up is if the freon in the system starts to get low.

Make sure the ice has all melted for this next check. Pretty easy to check without special tools. If the air filter is clean and there is no dust/ dirt blocking the fins on the indoor unit, turn a/c back on to cool and check that the indoor unit fan comes on and is blowing air good. Once everything seems to running good go to the outdoor unit.

There will be two lines with black rubber insulation covering them. Peel back the insulation three inches on each line and observe the copper lines. If either line starts to frost up the a/c system is most likely low on refrigerant. Another cause of indoor unit icing could be that the aluminum fins behind the air filter are clogged with dust or other foreign material.

This would block the air that must be pulled in causing the indoor unit coil to become too cold due to lack of air flow and it will ice up. Operating the cooling system when the outdoor temperature is below 60 degrees can cause the indoor unit to ice up also. Florida certified a/c contractor. 30 years experience. Hope this helps.

Mar 18, 2014 . This is a fairly common problem with these types of refrigerators.

The design is set to defrost every 12 hours and be down for 1 hour to allow ice to melt on coils. More often than not the ice never fully melts and creates a blockage in the coils and in turn slows air flow. You can remove the screws in the back wall of freezer unit and unsnap the ice maker plug to allow access to the coil.

Gently tilt the back plate forward. You can then unplug the ref. And help it thaw with a blow drier. If you are not comfortable removing the back plate then you can just unplug the ref. And let it thaw on its own. This may take a while. Try to remove as much ice as you can from the back of the freezer wall by hand and prop the door open for a couple of hours to ensure that all the ice melts.

The rattling sound you are hearing is the fan blades hitting the ice that is built up around it. As a precaution I recommend that these type of refrigerators get manual defrost simply by unplugging about once a month for about two (2) hours. I hope that this will help you out with the melted ice cream. May 30, 2009 . Look in he back of the freezer section, if you see ice on the back wall then I would suggest defrosting the whole unit overnight and restarting to see if this makes a difference to the fridge section. If it does then you have a problem with the defrost cycle of the unit, if it doesnt then you may have a fan gone. We normally suggest defrosting first in case a door got left ajar.

However if it does pull back down you will need to keep a close eye on the unit for several weeks. Cara Instal Ulang Win Xp Tanpa Menghapus Data. Hope this helps. Aug 16, 2007 .
