Thanks for the replies everyone I paid $1400 + tax for it, not too bad I don’t think. I have thought about trying to go the SBR route but it’s nearly impossible in my county to get a sign off as I know a few others who have tried, the original barrel has the last 3 numbers of the guns serial number at the muzzle end so I wouldn’t do anything to that barrel but if I ever did go SBR I would cut and re-crown another barrel or turn a 10” barrel down to fit the ring. I like the 16” barrel just fine but it’s so quick and easy to change barrels it would be nice to have a 10” too, ideally it would be nice to have the SBR registration on a serial numbered barrel only, that way the gun it self would never be tied to the NFA registry and you could transfer the barrel to another UZI (like with a drop in auto sear) but I have no clue if you can do that with just a barrel. In the mean time I think I might get a ventilated barrel shroud, they look pretty cool and I’m sure it’s a little safer than waving that long barrel around after it gets hot.
