Alright, so I bought my girlfriend her own tablet because we realized that sometimes we both like to draw at the same time (her on the laptop, me on the desktop) but upon installing the fancy new drivers for the intuos, my old af bamboo pen suddenly stopped working properly with paint tool sai. Only paint tool sai. Literally still works with all my other art programs.

Tried reinstalling drivers, different USB ports, literally everything that HAD fixed it in the past, refused to work this time. Curveball: we also installed the intuos drivers on the laptop on the same day and the bamboo still works with sai on the laptop?? So as a last resort i figured I should try uninstalling and reinstalling sai, but I didn’t want to risk losing the brushes I’ve accumulated over the years (from much more talented artists that were lovely enough to post their presets). TL;DR These are all my sai brush settings if anyone’s interested, but i’m mostly posting this for my own reference, as well as the swatches (most of which are legit just undertale color swatches lmao). I restarted the computer and it performed some stupid Windows update that it does like every month. But when i plugged my tablet back innothing happened. Usually the little green light flashes for a bit and then it connects but the light never flashed.

I restarted my computer a million times, uninstalled and reinstalled the USB drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled the tablet drivers, tested other USB devices in the same port (all responded) but my tablet simply won’t??? Again, not even the little green light flashed indicating that the computer could see it.

So my computer doesn’t even know that something is plugged into that port. I’mat a lossIdk what else to do. I’ll have to test it on another computer when i get the chance to confirm if it’s dead. My old, dead tablet (rip) on the left and the tablet I borrowed from on the right. I tried everything I could think of: changed cables, changed computer, updated tablet drivers, updated USB drivers and nothing. Mine is completely dead, and it was completely out of the blue. If anyone has any idea what’s going on. I know the model i have is an “older one” (this is the exact model) and honestly idk what’s goin on. Ive had this thing for 3 years and im pretty bummed out that ill have to replace it considering people ive talked to have owned theirs for a way longer time and id really hate having to drop the money just because of this.
